Unhide printer on phone app

I installed my printer onto my android and the smart app asked if I wanted to hide my computer, so I hit yes. I thought that meant that it was hiding the printer from other people's networks. Now I can't see my printer on my phone for such things as printer ink levels.

Welcome to the HP Community --

Hide Printer used to be called "Remove Printer" -- which is what is does:

Hide Printer removes the printer from the HP Smart application.

To get the printer back in the app, you have to use "Add Printer" and start over adding the printer to the app.

What if?

I no longer have any Android phones around --

I would guess that if you cannot simply (re) add the printer, that uninstalling / installing the HP Smart app would help kick things back into order.

I guess the problem is one of context -- "Remove Printer" from the HP Smart app means something entirely different from "Remove Printer" from (for example, HP Smart / HP Connected, HP Account Dashboard, or from Windows.

I suspect "Remove Printer", when it was just used in the HP Smart app made sense. 

There are so many other places where "Remove Printer" means something completely different.

That said, "someone" decided to change the name and "Hide Printer" was the winner.
