How can I use the HP Smart app to print a photo on letter size paper but at a smaller photo size?  I have normal paper loaded but need a 4x6 print using letter size paper.  I see a resize option but can’t find a way to select a known size and eyeballing it isn’t precise.   The options do not seem to readily support this.  Am I missing something?  Thank you.

If you are using a Mobile version of HP Smart, for example, to print from iPad or phone, then no - I don't think you are missing anything.

At this writing, the mobile version of the HP Smart application is not yet nearly as smart as is HP Smart for Windows 10.  It does not, for example, (as far as I know) allow you to select the photo size and paper size separately.

The photo size is a little bit easier to adjust if you first add your photo to a Pages document (iOS) and adjust the size there.  On my iPad, at least, even in Pages, the photo size must be adjusted with the point, click, and drag - using the Add-to-Pages method does seem to be a bit easier than adjusting the size of the photo in HP Smart using the manual Resize option simply because you can grab one corner and drag the size instead of pinching and pulling the little photo into the 4x6" configuration.

Once the photo is embedded in the document, save the document and print it from within Pages.

Will that work?  Maybe.  The whole thing is rather awkward.

If you can get to a Windows PC running Windows 10, the HP Smart App for Windows 10 is much more adaptable - you can print the size of photo you want on the paper of your choice.
