Thanks for the reply.

I appreciate your time and effort.

I understand the issue better now.

Follow the below steps to fix this issue:

Restore the network settings to defaults settings.

Press and hold the Wireless button and the Cancel button from the printer control panel together for three seconds.

Once it is done, print network configuration page.

Press the Wireless button and the Information button at the same time.

You will find the wifi direct password in this page and connect your iOS device to the printer with that password.

To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others and please give the same post a Kudos.

Let me know if that helps.

Cheers.

@TERESAMA,

Welcome to the HP Forums!

Thank you for posting your query on this forum, it's a great place to find answers.

I reviewed your post and I understand that the printer is asking for a password every time you print.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

In order that I may provide you with an accurate solution, I will need a few more details.

  • When was the last time the printer was working fine?
  • Have you made any software or hardware changes on the computer?

While I wait for the answers, it looks like you are using the wireless direct feature to print from your iPhone and the Mac computer.

I recommend you connect the printer to the same wireless network to which your phone and Mac is connected by following the steps in the below article and check whether the issue is resolved.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

If you wish to show appreciation for my efforts, mark my post as Accept as Solution. Your feedback counts!
