Toshiba Chromebook Model CB30-

I used to be able to print from my Toshiba Chromebook, which I bought in November 2015, via my old laptop which had Windows Vista. I was using a HP desktop 2200 printer, 9 years old.  Unfortunately this process no longer works possibly because Windows is no longer supported on the old computer, possibly for some other reason - I don't know. What I would really like to do is to throw away the old computer and the old printer, buy a new printer and print directly from the Chrome book. I am getting conflicting advice on whether this is possible from the sales consultants in IT stores. Could anyone tell me if I buy a new printer such as HP3637 will I be able to link it to my Chromebook and print off documents without the intervention of another computer or device? Otherwise how am I going to book hotels, shows etc online! help!

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Forums.

Yes, you should be able to print and scan using your Chromebook.

For Print, please download HP Print for Chrome.

For Scan, the printer can use the Webscan.

These resources will show you how it's done:

Scanning from Chromebook

Hope that helps!
