HP Envy 4512
iOS

I just bought the envy printer and installed the app on my iPad.  When I try to connect to the printer in settings it's asking for a password.   I don't see a default password in the setup directions so I'm not sure what password it's referring to.

Hi,

The most straight forwad way to print from your ipadwith your setup is to make sure that both devices and the printer are connected to the same wifi network. Once this is complete, you'll be able to print from within the apple software using the print option (this is done using apple's inbuilt airprint technology).

Alternatively, you can connect via wifi direct, which I don't recommned if you already have a router (you'll be offered the wifi direct network only if you have the wifi direct button the printer turned on). The wifi direct password can usually be found by printing off your wireless settings or holding down your wirieless direct button for a few seconds and it will then print off.

Did you even read the question before replying? There is NO wireless button on the printer and the directions do not include a password (wifi that printer out of box is casting is protected... <requires password>)
