Last year I gave my old HP printer to my dad & bought a ~Cloud Print~ Canon. It printed GREAT away from home until google print started messing with things & the ink was Expensive. I gave the canon away so I could go back to HP. I sort of wish I had not.
*** I need a iphone printer app that can make it QUICK & EASY to send & print web pages, documents, photos and my HP officejet can auto select the correct tray to print from!!
HP's email print & ePrint forces you to convert text to PDF. CRAZY!!
Priting from PCL seems to work good, but you should not have to click around for 5 minutes telling it
sizes, paper, & which tray to use.
Even the crappy expensive canon printer let's you print straight from any webpage, email or such
WITHOUT having to figure out how to create a pdf while your Driving or Walking.
( Certainly HP knows us humans can not just snap our fingers and the world freezes around us so we can make a pdf file to print)
Even attaching photos the HP Printer can not figure out a 4x6 photo it recieves needs to be printed from the designated photo tray... ODD. We should not have to click around 4 or 5 times to instruct it to print from Tray1.
------ Canons old printer automatically did it for you!! You could print from a web page perfectly on plain paper. if you emailed a photo OR Printed from PCL app, you don't have to mess with the settings.. the canon printer just automatically printed photos from the photo tray & documents from the paper tray.
Come on HP... figure it out or COPY canons lead!.

Is there an app that Auto-Creates a PDF since that's what HP requires to email to print???
actually.. an app pdf>email & adjusted photo printing
with ALL the settings HP requires.
.
Oddly.. My new expensive HP printer is SUPPOSE to figure out
that photos print from the photo tray... but it doesn't which I think that's more of
HP's printing apps needs updating.

A warm welcome to HP Support Community!
I believe AirPrint can automatically detect the paper size using the paper sensor on the printer. You may use the steps available here to print using Apple AirPrint.
If AirPrint does not match the correct paper size, try adjusting the paper size using the printer control panel display. You may use the steps available here to adjust the paper size using the printer control panel display.
Let me know how it goes!
