I tried to print from iPhone; would not allow me to set size to 4X6 only allowed Letter size
I used the usual steps on phone: Chose item to print, Chose Printer Desk Jet 2700 series , Chose black & white, Chose # copies, then tried to set paper size PRINTER WOULD ONLY ALLOW LETTER SIZE. In the past I have been able to choose 4 x 6 and other sizes I tried all of the Trouble shooting steps but nothing has helped this issue

Welcome to the HP English Community --
To date --
HP Smart -- Mobile -- does not support a true Scale option to print at a percentage of 100%.
?
Yeah, but...HP Smart - Windows - can print to selected size / Scale.

and
HP_Smart_Win_Print_Photo_4x6_All_5
===================================================
To date --
The Mobile application prints "to paper size", that is, print output tends to follow the size of the paper you are using.
General Example - HP Smart - Mobile - iOS - Image Print
HP_Smart_Mobile_iOS_Photo_Print_Options_Color_5
An exception:
HP Smart - Mobile - iPadOS -
The app supports a manual resize and print option.
This is not a "Scale" selection like one would use to print at exactly 4x6 inches. Instead, 'manual" is as it sounds: a manual "pinch and resize" to resize the print to an approximate of the size wanted.
General Example - HP Smart - Mobile - iPadOS - Image Print - Transform / Resize
HP_Smart_Mobile_Image_Print_Resize_Move_11
Dragon Opinion
If you have printed scale sized prints "in the past" using your phone, perhaps you were using a different application that you found / installed from your phone's App Store.

you gave me several options, but my question was not answered. My iPhone has the print app for my 2700 HP printer. I asked her to print three things in the 4 x 6 size as offered it printed two and then printed the third one letter size I tried again and it would not let me use anything but letter. It’s not that I used a different app it is the only app that I use and I use 4 x 6 paper. it’s not a matter of resizing . When it works, it offers me multiple sizes of pictures when it doesn’t work. It only offers me letter size. Please help me. This is so frustrating. Thank you very much.

You are welcome.
I am sorry I did not answer the question.
In general, HP Smart (to date) always follows the paper size when printing.
The options to do otherwise are few (to non-existent).
Should the Paper Size / Type setting be changed for some reason from one job to another, the "new" settings for the paper size / type settings will be used for that (current) job.
DeskJet Printers use an odd "small / medium / large" paper size setting --
Honestly, I don't know whether, how, or why the settings would change between submitting one job and other in the same session.
Original EWS
Open your Browser > Type / enter the Printer IP address into URL / Address bar
Tab Settings > Preferences > Tray and Paper (Management)
Select / Adjust settings for Paper Size / Type
Model and EWS version Dependent: Advanced section
Click Apply to save changes
EWS_Tray_and_Paper_DeskJet_1
Find (in your App Store) and try a different app to check the results.
Another Expert -- perhaps someone who has used a DeskJet printer -- might be able to do a better job answering.
