Hi,

The simplest way to ptint wirelessly is to ensure that both your mobile deviec and printer are connected to the same wifi network. Once this is complete, you can then print wirelessly using the HP all in one or eprint app.

If you want to print directly using the wifi direct feature (bypassing the router), you'll need the wifi direct password which should be attainable by pressing or holding down the wireless direct button on the printer front panel. Alternatively, from the wifi setup panel, you can turn the wifi direct password option off.

For the whirring, I would check that all of your cartridges are inserted correctly and also use the printer front panel to perform some printer diagnostics/printhead maintanence to see if this helps.
