Hi,
Do you have a wireless network or are you trying to connect to the printer without a router?
Assuming you do have a router, please follow 'Connect a printer that does not have a touchscreen control panel > Step 2: Connect the printer with the HP Smart app' below to connect the printer to your wireless network, then it shouldn't ask for any password:
