HP DeskJet 2755e All-in-One Printer

Hi there,

 

I’ve spent many hours today working through all the suggestions I’ve found online for my Desket 2755e.  It was working yesterday. Power had gone out overnight and today it won’t connect to wifi. 

I have tried to set it up again using the HP Smart app, it will not work and directs me to go to a desktop site.  

I have tried to set up using Wifi Direct - but it will not let me print out the Wifi info page, and thus I can’t get the wifi direct password (I have tried 12345678). When I press the ‘I’ button to print the info page, it flashes amber a few times and that’s it.  In fact, the only thing I can get the printer to do is print a test page.  No other page will manually print using the control panel buttons.   


I also tried to go to 192.168.223.1 and access the EWS page - when prompted to enter the PIN, I entered it as found where the cartridges are. It said it was incorrect. 

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the HP smart app on my laptop, but it will not open further than the blue loading page (the laptop itself is very old, I almost never use it). 

The warranty JUST expired on this printer.  

If someone could please just help me get the Wi-Fi Direct password I’m sure I can get this sorted out. Im fairly good with technology.

I see that you are facing an issue with your Printer.

 

Please follow the steps below to connect your printer to the network again.

 

  • Uninstall the HP smart app, Restart the printer and the computer or mobile device to clear possible error conditions.

 

  • Enable Wi-Fi setup mode: When you turn on your printer for the first time, it is temporarily placed in Wi-Fi setup mode so that it can be discovered during setup. Use the printer control panel to restore Wi-Fi setup mode, and then set up the printer again. Go to Restore Wi-Fi setup mode on your HP printer for more information.

 

  • Refer to this link to use the HP smart app on your phone/tablet/PC to add a printer.

 

  • Enable Bluetooth for an HP Smart app setup: Enable Bluetooth on your computer or mobile device so that HP Smart can detect the printer during the setup.
