I have an old but perfectly working HP LaserJet 1025. If I buy a separate Wifi Printer Hub, will this enable me to connect and print wirelessly, or will the lack of support for printer drivers for OS15 still be an issue?

I think you have the one that is USB only, is that correct?
There are USB print servers available.
The Wi-Fi ones are not plug and play. They can be difficult to setup.
The print server is designed to connect to the modem or router. You will need to program it. If you get one with an ethernet connector it can be connected to the modem with a cable which makes setup a lot easier. If the printer cannot be connected directly to the router (such as a flat or apartment) then you must configure the Wi-Fi of the print server to connect to the Wi-Fi of the modem. This is not easy and is what the vendor means when they state "not plug and play"
As far as I know, there are no Wi-Fi-direct print servers so you cannot print wirelessly, directly to the printer, you must go through the modem or router.
Be sure to read all the reviews of any print server before you buy one.
