I got my printer earlier today in the mail when I first opened and set up the printer and it connected to the wifi great. Then I turned it off and then when I went to print something about an hour ago and it wouldn't even allow me to try and connect, it only allows me to connect to my router which I cant do. I bought this printer because I had 2 before this and I needed a wireless printer to be able to connect to my Chromebook. Then every time I turn my printer on I get 2 minutes till it gives me another error code and starts sporadically flashing all of the symbols, then if I try to connect to Bluetooth smart it won't allow me to turn it on. 

 

Edit: Now the power button isn't working and I can't turn it on, I need it to be able to print my school work that is the whole reason I bought a printer.

Due to the current global COVID-19 situation, we're seeing an influx of customers coming in for support. We appreciate your patience.

 

  1. What are the errors your receiving on the printer screen?
  2. Are you able to make copies using the printer?
  3. What is the status of the wireless light on the printer, steady or blinking?
  4. Is your printer connected home network or public network?

Let's try a power reset on the printer

 

Reset the product

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Wait at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
  • Reconnect the power cord to the printer.
  • Turn the printer on. HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.

Install HP Print for Chrome

To print from the Chrome browser, install HP Print for Chrome from the Chrome Web Store.
