I switched to att all fi as my WiFi provider. I cannot connect my hp deskjet 3700 printer to the WiFi.   There is a yellow blinking light , the web services button that will not shut off   This usually indicates that I need to pay my hp ink bill.  However it is paid but light continues to blink.  This is blocking my attempt to connect to WiFi.   Help

Hi @Felix1954,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

A blinking yellow light on the HP DeskJet 3700 series usually indicates an issue with the Web Services or HP Instant Ink subscription. However, since your subscription is paid, the issue likely stems from the new WiFi network setup. Here's how you can resolve it.

Reset the Printer’s Network Settings

  • Turn the printer on.
  • Hold down the WiFi and Cancel buttons on the printer simultaneously for 5 seconds.
  • The printer should reset its network settings, and the WiFi light will start blinking blue.

Reconnect the Printer to the New WiFi

  • Download the HP Smart app on your computer or smartphone.
  • Open the app and select Set Up a New Printer.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to connect your printer to the new WiFi (you'll need your new WiFi password).

Check Web Services and Instant Ink

  • Once the printer is connected to the network, the yellow blinking light may persist because of Web Services or Instant Ink.
  • In the HP Smart app:
    • Select your printer.
    • Go to Advanced Settings or Printer EWS (Embedded Web Server).
    • Ensure Web Services are enabled and active.
    • If Web Services are disabled, enable them and follow the prompts.

Turn Off Web Services (Optional)

If you don't use HP Instant Ink or Web Services, you can disable Web Services to stop the yellow blinking light:

  • Access the printer’s Embedded Web Server (EWS) through the HP Smart app or your browser.
  • Locate the Web Services tab and disable it.

Restart the Printer

  • Turn off the printer, wait 30 seconds, and turn it back on.
  • Check if the blinking light stops.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
