Deskjet 2632
Chrome OS

I am trying to connect my HP deskjet 2632 to the new router. I have tried all of the given methods without success.  I use a Chrome book and a Huawei phone.  I have tried the HP app.  Still no joy.  Can anyone help without a lot of technical jargon as I am elderly and not up to speed with IT developments since I stopped work 10 years ago.

I have got as far as everything saying it is all connected and fine but it isn't.  The printer is not printing. It shows a new symbol for wifi direct.  How do you turn this off? Or doesn't it make any difference?  I printed off the info about wifi direct but cannot connect to the wifi direct settings.

Welcome to HP Community

I have gone through your Post and would like to help

Ensure the printer and the Phone / Chromebook are connected to the same wireless network.
-Note:- This printer supports only 2.4GHz network. Do not connect it to 5 GHz Network incase your Router supports both 2.4 and 5 GHz
- If you have a Dual-band router and both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks share the same name/SSID, then the printer will not be able to connect to the network. In this case, contact your Internet service provider to assign different names to both the networks.

Next Reset the Wireless Network settings on the printer. Press and Hold the Wireless Button and Cancel Button for 5 seconds

Relaunch HP Smart App and try setting up the printer wirelessly again

Thank you
