i just changed internet providers and im trying to connect my printer , however its confusing me as to whether or not im using "wifi direct" or wireless. Ive had the usb connected to my chromebook since ive owned the printer and have never had an issue yet. i am not really computer savvy (obviously) please help!

Follow 'Connect a printer that does not have a touchscreen control panel > Step 2: Connect the printer with the HP Smart app' to connect the printer to your network, you would need to use the HP Smart app to connect it from another computer (Windows or Mac), or from any Android or iOS mobile device:

Once connected, make sure your Chromebook is also connected to your home network.
