This problem is driving me crazy.  I can no longer use eprint because emails sent from MY EMAIL ADDRESS are put on hold by HP Mimecast - an app I HAVE NOT INSTALLED - and I get a printout of a link that is unusable, and do not have any idea of how to access the Mimecast Personal Portal, as I do NOT HAVE AN ACCOUNT

THIS IS A HORRIBLE JOKE.   Everywhere I go I get not information.   The one troubleshoot - how to delete Mimecraft from my PC - is useless because Mimecraft is not installed on my PC.  I did not ask for this, I do not want it, and it has crippled an important process in my business

ANYONE LISTENING????

@SweetThea,

Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!

I see you are experiencing issues with Mimecast rejects mails from printing. I apologize for the Inconvenience.

I understand this may cause you issues but this is part of the security settings for the ePrint servers to keep out spam and junk mail to prevent wasting customers ink and paper.

At this point the best workaround I have seen is to create an email account with a popular email client (such as **bleep** or yahoo) and use this account to send print jobs using ePrint if your private domain email address keeps getting rejection notifications.

I wish there was an easier solution but until more private domains are added to the ePrint servers this is the best solution I know of.

If you tried sending this email from your mobile phone, try going into the web browser and pulling up your email account from there. Now send the email. You can also try sending from your email on the computer and see if that goes.

One other reason for the error may be that you are using signatures in your email. Try deleting the signature and sending to the printer.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

I have the same issue; I tried to login, but don't have an account set up and I can't access the links because I received a printed version of my print jobs going to spam.  I've tried looking for a customer support number, but there isn't one for HP.

I used to be able to send print jobs from my cell phone and now they are being blocked by Mimecast stating they are spam.

e-print was set up for my kids to print school prep work from their google accounts - not working.

Well, the BIG problem is, the page printed by HP Mimecast instructs to Release / Block / Permit the emails. This is how one normally deals with incorrectly flagged SPAM. HOWEVER, the page prints on the printer and we have no way into the HP Mimecast to Release / Block / Permit the emails.

It appears to be something new HP put in place, possibly for corporate customers, but it's catching the rest of us and we do not have a way to approve those emails saying they are from us. How do we access HP Mimecast to Release / Block / Permit the emails?

Has anyone got this to work? There are several strings on this site regarding the same Mimecast issue, with no resolution

@Cuinoz, @BF0000, @SweetThea,

Thank you for responding, I appreciate your time and effort.

I see you are experiencing issues with Mimecast rejects mails from printing.

I have a few recommendations

  • Try forget the “email to printer” and get the HP Smart Print app onto your device(s) and just use HP Smart printing reprint via HP Smart the document you originally sent to the printer’s email address

    forget the “trapped” print as a lost cause.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

I do use the HP Smart App on my phone, but there are times I email to the printer.

The worst part about this is that one does not get feedback to the sending device, so you have no idea it failed, until much later. Somethings cannot easily be reprinted later. I guess, the item should still be in the Sent mailbox or one could cc/bc themselves when sending to the printer.  I will endeavor to avoid the email to printer and use the HP Smart App exclusively in the future.

I've been fortunate that I've only had one of several items caught by the SPAM filters.

Still, HP needs to own up to this and warn people in the printer email setup and also adopt a resolution. If HP chooses to not fix it, then say so instead of ignoring our requests and leaving us searching for ways into Mimecast admin ... would also be a good idea to change the Mimecast message.

After 2 hours lost, I found I solution that works for me.  I went on my printer web account (https://www.hpsmart.com/fr/fr/myprinter/)  and changed the access authorization from «all» to «authorized».

I manually added all the email adresses I want to print with, including the one blocked by Mimecast.

I hope it will help some of you.
