Hey there! @jpt2, Welcome to HP forums.
I understand you would like to know how to change WPS pin on your printer.
Don't worry I'll try to help you out.
What pin are you looking for?
Did you make any changes to your printer?
If you are trying to connect to your printer using WPS method and if the issue persists.
Try using USB setup of wireless to complete wireless setup.
USB setup of wireless – Printers without a touch display can use this wireless setup method during the printer software installation.
During this process, you will temporarily connect a USB cable between the computer and the printer. It's important that you connect and disconnect the cable only when prompted by the software, which will guide you through configuring your printer's wireless connection.
In some cases, the software may automatically find your wireless settings for you.
To connect your wireless printer to your wireless router using USB setup of wireless, proceed to Installing Printer Software
Refer this article to know more information about Connecting your wireless printer.
Hope this helps!
Have a wonderful day ahead! 🙂

I am not trying to connect my computer to my printer. I am connected. I never have to enter a pin to my printer on a day to day basis, but when I tried to scan a documet into my computer, the printer asked for m y pin. I do have the original pin that I have had for many years, (4 digits) but it won't accept it. As I said before the only change that I have made is I upgraded from Vista to Windows 10. If you can't help with this then I will have to call the Geek squad for help.
If you are a real peron and not a robot, could you answer this.

The reply to "How do I change my pin on my hP Photosmart printer?" did not help. It talked about connecting to my printer. I am connected to my computer. Surely there is an easy answer to such a simple question.

@jpt2, It's great to hear from you again.
I appreciate your efforts for trying out the steps.
Please try the steps recommended below.
Add your email address to your printer and retrieve your Personal Identification Number (PIN).
From the home screen on the printer control panel, touch Scan ().
Touch Email, and then touch Continue.
Touch the Email dialog box, type your email address, and then touch Continue.
The printer sends a PIN to the email address.
Sign in to your email account, and then note the PIN in the email sent from eprintcenter@hp.com.
On the printer control panel, touch Continue and then select a security option on the Remember Me Information screen.
Select Auto-login to store the PIN. This is a low-security option best used if your printer is for personal use.
Select Store Email to store the email address, but not the PIN. The PIN must be entered each time you scan to email. Use this more secure option if multiple people use the printer to scan.
Refer this document to know more information about Scan to Computer.
Let me know if this works!
Have a great day ahead! 🙂
