Hi @GR0212,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The message “The connection could not be verified” when trying to print from your iPhone typically indicates a problem with the communication between your iPhone and the printer. Here’s a step-by-step guide to troubleshoot and resolve this issue:

1. Check Printer Connection:

  • Ensure that your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your iPhone. If your printer has a display, check its network settings to confirm it’s connected to the correct network.:
  • Power off your printer, wait for about 60 seconds, and then turn it back on. This can sometimes resolve connectivity issues.
  • Restart your Wi-Fi router to refresh the network connection.

2. Update Printer and iPhone:

  • Go to the printer manufacturer’s website and check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer model. Follow the instructions to update if necessary.
  • Ensure your iPhone is running the latest version of iOS. Go to Settings > General > Software Update to check for and install any available updates.

3. Check Printer Settings:

  • Ensure that your printer supports AirPrint, which is required for wireless printing from iPhone. Check the printer’s manual or HP website for confirmation.
  • If your printer supports it, try reconfiguring its network settings. This can help if there’s been a change in network configuration.

4. Reset Network Settings:

  • Go to your printer’s network settings menu and reset the network settings to default. Reconfigure the connection to your Wi-Fi network.
  • On your iPhone, go to Settings > Wi-Fi, tap on the Wi-Fi network your phone is connected to, and select Forget This Network. Then reconnect to the Wi-Fi network by selecting it again and entering the password.

5. Re-add the Printer:

  • On your iPhone, open the app you’re trying to print from, and remove the printer from the list of available printers. Then, add the printer again to re-establish the connection.
  • Try printing from a different app to see if the issue is specific to the app you’re using.

6. Check for Security or Privacy Settings:

  • Some network security settings can block communication between devices. Check if there are any security settings or firewalls on your network that could be affecting the connection.
  • Ensure that the printer’s security settings aren’t blocking new or unknown devices from connecting.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
