I recently replace an HP desktop with a HP elitebook and the HP support assistant lists old PCs and Printers and nags me to add to my list.  I see the same online on my HP account - how do I remove these?

Control Panel > icon view > Programs and Features >

Scroll down, find, Uninstall the HP Support Assistant

After the uninstall is completed, Restart the computer and log in

NOTE:

When / If asked whether you want to save any of the presets / personal HPSA information, respond to have any (personal) data associated with the program removed along with the HPSA software.

Download and Save

HP Support Assistant

  • If you have ‘Admin’ control, you may highlight the package and “double-click” to install it, else Right-Click, select run as Administrator and install.
  • After the software is installed:  Restart the computer and log in

If seeing "old" printer in HP Connected account, try / consider:

("new" view for HP Connected)

Log into your HP Connected  account, go to My Printers,

Click "Change Settings" on the printer you wish to remove

Click "Remove printer"

If the printer(s) show up on computer:

Control Panel > icon view > Devices and Printers

Right-Click on the device > Remove Device

Click Thumbs Up on a post to say Thank You!

You are welcome.

I guess I did not understand what you were trying to do - or where...

I am glad it is fixed.
