Hi @andyd13,
Good Day. A warm welcome to the HP community. I reviewed the case regarding the smart app not working with other paper sizes on your iPhone. I will be delighted to assist you here.
Superb description, brilliant troubleshooting and terrific observations made before posting. Kudos to you for that. 🙂
For better clarity and to assist you correctly, I would require more information regarding this:
- Is it windows operating system or iOS?
- You’ve mentioned in your post that it is Windows 10 and later state that it is iPhone and iOS?
- Were you able to print using other paper sizes before the update? To print.
For now, try these steps:
If the OS is iOS.
- Please uninstall the app and reinstall it on your phone.
Follow the link: http://hp.care/2xY0QmY it gives you steps to download, install and use the app with FAQs.
- Then check if the issue gets resolved. If it does not then please use Apple AirPrint from this link: Please try the options from this link: http://hp.care/2xDCyxi follow the step by step instructions from here with FAQs.
- This link: http://hp.care/2xDUCaH is also helpful for printing from an iPhone or Ipad
- Try a different iPhone or IPad to isolate the issue to this one iPhone that may have an issue printing from HP Smart app.
Please perform all these steps patiently as it is critical to resolving the issue. The trick is to remain patient, Going by your technical expertise and competence I am sure you will be able to perform these steps without breaking a sweat. 🙂
Hope this helps. Let me know how it goes.
To simply say thanks, please click the "Thumbs Up" button to give me a Kudos to appreciate my efforts to help.
If this helps, please mark this as “Accepted Solution” as it will help several others with the same issue to get it resolved without hassles.
Take care now and have a splendid week ahead. 🙂
