i am unable to connect my hp smart tank 525 printer with mobile usb cable

I understand you are trying to connect your HP Smart Tank 525 All-in-One Printer to your Windows 7 (64-bit) computer using a USB cable, follow these steps:


Check USB Cable and Ports:

  • Ensure you are using a compatible USB cable. The cable should be connected firmly to both the printer and the computer.
  • Try different USB ports on your computer to rule out any port-related issues.

Download and Install Drivers:

  • Go to the HP Software and Driver Downloads page and enter your printer model (HP Smart Tank 525).
  • Download the latest drivers for your printer that are compatible with Windows 7 (64-bit).
  • Run the downloaded installer and follow the on-screen instructions to install the drivers.

Connect the Printer:

  • Turn on the printer and ensure it is ready.
  • Connect the USB cable from the printer to your computer.
  • Windows should automatically detect the printer. If it doesn’t, you may need to add it manually:
    • Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers > Add a printer.
    • Select your printer from the list and follow the prompts to install it.

Set as Default Printer (Optional):

  • Once the printer is installed, you can set it as the default printer by right-clicking on the printer icon in Devices and Printers and selecting Set as the default printer.

Test the Printer:

  • After installation, try printing a test page to ensure everything is working correctly.
