@freebyrd1128, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
HP printers commonly support wireless printing either via Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi Direct connections. Bluetooth printing is not a standard feature available for most HP printers. If you're looking to print wirelessly without using a Wi-Fi network, Wi-Fi Direct is your best option.
Wi-Fi Direct allows you to connect directly to the printer without an internet connection. Here's how you can set it up:
Find the Wi-Fi Direct name and password:
- Use the HP Smart app or the printer control panel (for those with a touchscreen) to find the Wi-Fi Direct name and password.
- If the printer has a touchscreen control panel, touch the Wi-Fi Direct icon to view details.
- If there's no touchscreen, press the Information button to print an Information Report that includes Wi-Fi Direct details.
Connect your device to the printer:
- On your mobile or computing device, open the Wi-Fi network menu and select the Wi-Fi Direct name of your printer, which usually starts with “DIRECT-” followed by your printer model name.
- Enter the Wi-Fi Direct password if prompted, and tap Join.
Print your document:
- Open the item you want to print and select the print option from your device. Make sure to select your Wi-Fi Direct printer.
I hope this helps.
Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.
Take care and have a good day.
