HP LaserJet MFP M234dw Printer

When printing an email from my iPad the print size is too large. How do I simply change that? It has nothing to do with the iPad, it clearly is an issue in the HP Smart app.

This question has been asked before in this forum (about three years ago). And on the internet I find similar questions but no answers. Has anyone find a solution yet?

For your information: all updates have been installed, printer is brand-new and HP Smart app was installed recently.

Thanks for your help!

Hi @quetzal61,

Welcome to the HP Support Community

I'd like to help!

I understand the font is large when printing from ios.

Try the below suggestions-

To update the printer's firmware, refer - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

To update ios, try these steps -Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Change the font size on iOS -

-->open settings on your iOS device. Select General and then Select Accessibility and change the font size before you print.

If the issue prersists ,Print from your Apple device

Print documents, photos, and web pages from iPhone and iPad apps that support printing.

Make sure the printer is turned on, cartridges are installed, and the paper you want to print on is loaded in the correct paper tray.

Open the item you want to print, and then tap the Share icon ( or ), or the menu icon .

Scroll down the screen and select Print from the list of options.

Selecting Print from the share or action menu in iOS

Select your printer, and then select print job settings such as paper size, number of copies, and page range.

Tap Print.

Hi Jay_G24

Thank you for reply.

Unfortunately this is not the solution.

As I explained in my original post both the printer and iPad have the latest updates. I double-checked.

By changing the font on the iPad the size is indeed somewhat smaller, but still the font is enormous compared to the same print directly from my computer. And when changing the font the original message is hardly large enough to read on the iPad...

I am still hoping for an update from HP that makes it possible to print everything the same size, be it from my computer or mobile device.

Thank you!

Have you tried printing using airprint and not HP Smart?
