iphone will not recognize photosmart printer

Hi,

The printer is not supported on iPhone, not via AirPrint nor via the HP Smart app., as listed by below support document for the HP Photosmart D7400 Printer Series

Such functionality is offered for later printers. not for your printer model.

 

You may try the 3rd party PrinterShare app, it may allow direct printing and if not then you may use their PC assist software to print from a mobile device:
