For some reason I can no longer select an option to print in colour to my Deskjet 2600 from an iphone. This has been working fine until now and I can still print in colour from my laptop so not a cartridge issue. I have tried this from several iphones and ipads with the same result and have tried printing straight from the app (i.e. photos) and from HP Smart and just don't get a colour option just Black and White or Black and White Draft?

Hi @VickyThomas,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you experience issues with printing in color from your iPhone to your HP DeskJet 2600 series printer, but not from your laptop, it suggests a problem related to the print settings or the app on the iPhone rather than a hardware issue with the printer.
Here are some steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
1. Check Printer Settings in the App:
- Open the HP Smart app on your iPhone or iPad.
- Select the document or photo you want to print.
- Tap on the print icon (usually a printer symbol).
- Before printing, check for an option to choose the color settings. This might be under "Printer Settings" or similar.
- Ensure that the "Color" option is selected instead of "Black & White" or "Black & White Draft."
2. Update the HP Smart App:
- Go to the App Store on your iPhone or iPad.
- Search for "HP Smart" and see if there's an update available.
- If there is, update the app and try printing again.
3. Reinstall the HP Smart App:
- Delete the HP Smart app from your iPhone or iPad.
- Restart your device.
- Reinstall the HP Smart app from the App Store.
- Set up your printer again and try printing.
4. Reset Printing System on iOS:
- Go to Settings on your iPhone or iPad.
- Tap on "General" and then "Reset."
- Select "Reset Network Settings." (Note: This will reset your Wi-Fi settings, so you'll need to reconnect to your Wi-Fi network.)
- After the reset, reconnect your device to Wi-Fi and try printing again.
5. Use AirPrint:
- Ensure your printer supports AirPrint and is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your iPhone or iPad.
- Open the document or photo you want to print.
- Tap on the share icon (usually a square with an arrow).
- Select "Print."
- Choose your printer and check for color options before printing.
6. Firmware Update: Update the firmware on an HP printer
- Ensure your printer’s firmware is up to date.
- Go to the HP support website and check for any firmware updates for your HP DeskJet 2600 series printer.
- Follow the instructions to update the firmware if an update is available.
7. Restart Devices:
- Turn off your printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for a minute, then plug it back in and turn it on.
- Restart your iPhone or iPad and try printing again.

I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
