I just got my DeskJet out of box and needing to set up to connect it to the wifi so I can print wirelessly on my laptop. While running HP Smart, it prompts for me to use a USB cable to connect the printer to my laptop. The USB does't not come with the box. Is this the only way to connect my DeskJet3755 to wifi? Why does it not come with the printer if it's required for the set up? I've also tried to initiate connection by pressing wifi and cancel button, and then press WPS on my router. It didn't work, the printer did not connect with my wifi network.. Please help, should I buy a USB cable just to set up? Thanks.

Hi @al361
Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.
The USB cable is not included in the box. Make sure you have followed the steps mentioned in this document to connect the printer to the wireless network.
If this does not help, connect the printer and the PC using Wifi-direct.
Refer to this document to know how. The default password is 12345678
Note: There will be no internet connection while using wifi-direct on the PC. Check if you are able to print a document.
If yes, we can then connect the printer to your wireless network.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
