Help. Brand new Laser Jet Pro MFP 3301. After online with Tech Support for 2 hours, the transferred me to a Paid option!!!!
Trying to Print from iOS utilizing double sided printing, but nothing happens - nothing sent to print queue when double sided is selected. Single sided works fine. HP support was clueless.
Anyone else seeing this issue? Any resolution?

Welcome to the HP English Community --
There are more than a few models in this series -- I checked eight models.
I found that duplex printing is supported in those printers that I checked.
Does that mean your printer supports automatic duplex?
Certainly not.
True - Most of the obvious will have been checked by now, including Reset and Restarting the printer.
Apps will have been installed and possibly the full driver printer software (for Windows / possibly MacOS).
The following is meant as FYI...
If not done,
Consider / Add to your checklists ---
There are very likely paper size and type limitations for duplex printing.
There might even be tray limitations -- If true, it would perhaps depend on the printer. ?
The printer lacks a paper sensor --
The printer must be aware of the paper size and type.
Use the Printer Control Panel after changing / validating the paper size in the tray
OR
Use the Embedded Web Server (EWS) to check / adjust the paper size / type and the default options.
Next,
Try using Airprint - there is a duplex setting in that app.
Examples
Tray and Paper
Open your Browser > Type / enter the Printer IP address into URL / Address bar
Section Paper > Trays > click on Tray to configure
Next (in addition and as available)
Section Print > Default Print Options > Select default tray
EWS_9135_Tray_and_Paper_5
and
EWS_9135_Print_Default_Print_Options_6

Thank you for your most helpful reply! After quite a bit of testing, I realize that the printer is implemented with a buggy airprint connection. I think primarily due to the manual “tray one“. It consistently throws an error saying that tray one is empty and unless you go to the print options on iOS, and for every print job and change the tray to number 2 any print jobs go to the bit bucket without any warning or error messages at all. Given I am buried in the the Apple ecosystem, I’m going to return the printer and look for a more compatible manufacturer, such as Canon or Brother since HP is married to windows

You are welcome.
We never interfere with what people decide.
I cannot reasonably comment on "married to Windows" -- we have a number of Apple and Linux products but not a Laser printer (of any brand) in the group.
Stay safe, warm, and amongst people who care for you this season.
