My printer just spat this out instead of a document I was printing from work.
Mimecast personal portal blocked the incoming print job as spam.
I have no account with Mimecast to permit the document through. In fact I had never even heard of this company until today.
Anyone know of a solution??
Thanks in advance,
-DPM

After no response from HP elsewhere and basically being called a liar when I did speak to someone (it's clearly an HP issue but they say not) I've now escalated this to the HP UK CEO Mr George Brasher by email. I will see if that gets us anywhere. I doubt it!

Was on hold for 1 hour and 20 minutes today with this exact same issue. After that, I got on the phone with an completely incompetent rep, even though this was the 3rd department I was transferred to. On top of that, she told me to my face she did not believe me. HELLO? There's like 400 threads on this issue? HP are being absolute clowns about this issue, and they need to sort it as soon as possible. The rep had me create and link my HP smart account to the printer, which I admit I never did since it wasn't needed for my purposes. After all that, there's absolutely no options on the HP Smart site to fix this issue. Absolutely abhorrent and incompetent people working here. I cannot believe this is considered a name brand.
Hopefully we'll receive an answer from someone that's NOT claiming Mimecast is not part of HP.

Hi all,
I was having the exact same issue as the OP - I was trying to print by emailing from my corporate email account but the system was placing the print on hold (by contrast emailing from my personal webmail provider worked fine).
I now seem to have solved it, although it was not easy. In the web version of HP Smart, there is a capability to add "trusted" email addresses that the email server will pass through to your printer without placing them on hold (indefinitely) (see screenshot). The challenge is getting this page to appear.
Note that I had already installed the HP Smart windows app on my PC and added my printer but this was not appearing in the web version.
I had tried to add the printer in the web version using the "claim code" but I had received the "Request failed with status code 500" that other users have posted about.
I'm not 100% certain of what got my printer to appear in the web version but I did disable and re-enable web services by logging into the web portal using the printer's local IP address. This issued me with a new email address and claim code and this worked. I also found this particular URL https://www.hpsmart.com/us/en/newprinter worked where the general www.hpsmart.com did not. Once I got my printer to appear adding my trusted email accounts was straightforward.
The process and whole arrangement with the hpeprint mail server seems a bit fragile, but I am able to now print from my corporate email account so the system does work.
Good luck to others trying to make HP's products work as advertised.
