my HP 2623 seems to have been made obsolete for my printing by HP. Yet it can print HP instructions . will I be able to get it to print again?

@Heather199, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding HP DeskJet 2623 Printing Only HP Material!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Check HP Instant Ink or Dynamic Security

  • If you’re using HP Instant Ink, ensure your subscription is active. Expired or blocked ink cartridges may prevent printing.
  • HP printers with Dynamic Security may restrict non-HP cartridges. Try using genuine HP ink to see if the issue resolves.

Verify Printer & PC Connection

  • Restart your printer, router, and PC to refresh connections.
  • Ensure the printer is set as default in Control Panel > Devices and Printers.

Update Printer Firmware & Drivers

  • Visit the HP Support Page and check for any firmware or driver updates.
  • Install updates and restart the printer.

Try a Test Print from Different Sources

  • Print a document from a different application (e.g., Notepad, Word, or a web page).
  • If it only prints HP documents, try uninstalling and reinstalling the printer driver.

Reset the Printer

  • Unplug the printer while it is ON.
  • Wait 60 seconds before plugging it back in.
  • Turn it ON and check if the issue persists.

If the problem continues, please reply with more details (error messages, software used, etc.), and I’ll be happy to assist further!

Hope this helps! 😊

Take care, and have an amazing day!
