my printer only prints blank pages, but prints test pages.

I have tried printing from different applications, word, pdf etc.  and I still get the same issue.  I have tried reinstalling new drivers.  I was using the cable and wireless to try printing.  Very frustrating when I need this for school and it has failed me several times.

I understand your print from your printer the printer is printing blank pages.

Don't worry I'll try to help you out.

Did you make any changes to your printer?

Does the issue persist when you make a copy from your printer?

Have you tried printing using a different application?

Try updating printer firmware and MAC OSX to the latest version and check if it helps.

Update the printer firmware using this link. Click Here

Check the print settings for your print job on your Mac.

1. Open a document, click File, and then click Print.

   The Print window opens.

2. Select the Paper Type/Quality or Media & Quality menu.

3. Depending on your print job, you might consider modifying the following settings:

   • Paper type: If one of the options matches your paper type exactly, select that option.

   • Quality: If you are dissatisfied with the quality of your printouts, increase the print quality. To print more quickly, decrease the print quality.

   To save your settings for future print jobs, select Save in the Presets menu and then name the new preset.

Lastly, Remove and add the printer as AirPrint.

Confirm you are using AirPrint by adding the printer in System Preferences.

1. Click the Apple menu, click System Preferences, and then click Print & Scan or Printers & Scanners.

2. Check if your printer name displays in the Printers list, and then do one of the following steps.

   • If your printer is listed, remove and re-add the printer to confirm it is set up for AirPrint. Click the printer name, click the minus sign to delete the printer, click the plus sign , click Add Printer or Scanner, click the printer name and then continue to the next step.

   • If your printer is not listed, click the plus sign, click Add Printer or Scanner, click the name of your printer, and then continue to the next step.

   • If your printer is not listed in the Add Printer or Scanner window, go to the Frequently asked questions in this document to resolve connection issues, try to add the printer again, and then continue to the next step.

3. Confirm AirPrint or Secure AirPrint displays in the Use or Print Using menu, and then click Add.

4. Open a document or photo, click File, and then click Print.
