I'm at college and the wifi here does not work with wireless printers. When I bought this printer (officejet 4654), I was led to believe that there was a way to use a wired connection. I have the printer connected to the internet thinger in the wall but its not working. I followed the directions that came with it and it just does not want to work. I had this printer set up at home wirelessly, but now that I have moved, it isn't working. Is there a way I can connect it directly to my computer via usb? Or am I completely missing a major thing?

Hi,

Yes, you can use USB because it supports USB connection:

   http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-OfficeJet-4650-All-in-One-Printer-series/5447930/model/890098...

The USB port is at the back, next to the power connection port.   I think you need a USB cable because no cable in the box and you need to run HP Easy Start to set up:

    http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/osx/Applications/HP_Easy_Start.app.zip

Regards.
