i bought a HP deskJet 2652 printer. its wireless but i cant connect to my iphone! it asks for a password! i dont know the password. how can i find the password to connect to my phone?

Hi,

It soundsl ike you may be using the wifi direct feature in which the printer generates its own wifi signal to which you can connect directly (although this prevents your device from connecting to the internet). You'll recognise the wifi direct network as it will hav ethe printer name in it. If you see this network it means that you have wifi direct enabled. Password is usually something like 12345678 . Hold down the wifi direct button for more than 3 second and it should print a sheet with the wifi direct password.

If you have a router and home, then disbale wifi direct and connect both printer and all devices connecting to it to your home wifi network and you should then be able to print fine.

I have followed these steps more than once.

Everything lines up with the name of the printer and so forth.

i believe this printer is a complete waste of money.
