The old ePrint technology of years past has been replaced with Print Anywhere.
Print Anywhere is a premium remote print service -
Access to Print Anywhere is added when you activate HP+.
Print Anywhere is accessed through HP Smart (or HP App if your device has updated and HP Smart has been replaced).
The printer is assigned an email address -- the address is meant to remain private and cannot be changed.

What is HP+ Service / Contract?
When the HP+ service contract is enabled, the printer is added to your HP Smart / HP Connected account.
AND
- Menus related HP App / HP Smart might be changed to Orange.
- Premium scan features are added to the printer after setup.
- For new printers -- The original hardware Warranty is extended for an additional year.
- You agree to use only HP genuine cartridges (no refills or 3rd party remanufactured).
- Once enabled, HP+ cannot be cancelled - Should you wish to dispute, Contact Support.

Requirements for HP+ printers
This topic describes the requirements for HP+ printers.
NOTE: HP+ is only available in some countries/regions
Keep the printer connected to the Internet
HP+ printers are cloud-connected devices that must remain connected to the Internet in order to function. The
Internet connection enables the printer to deliver HP+ specific app features and firmware updates.
During setup, you must connect the printer to the Internet using a supported network connection. After setup, you can print using a USB cable connection, if desired, but the printer must still be connected to the Internet.
Use Original HP cartridges
Original HP cartridges are cartridges manufactured and sold by HP in official HP packaging. If non-Original HP supplies or refilled cartridges are installed, HP+ printers will not operate as expected.

What is an Instant Ink Trial?
Trial periods include a certain number of Pages per month without the monthly fee normally charged for the subscription.
For example, 6-months "free ink" is a trial period of six months for which you are not charged the monthly subscription fee for your selected plan.

What is Instant Ink?
HP Instant Ink is a Print-by-Page subscription service for which you are charged a monthly fee for a set number of printed pages. (Each side of the paper is counted as a separate Page.)
While there is no additional charge for the ink, the subscription is not free and does charge each month.
IMPORTANT -- Ink is supplied only with an active subscription -
After the service is terminated by you or HP, all subscription ink cartridges stop working and must (should) be returned to HP.
Selecting the right number of pages for your plan is important.

You are paying to print a set number of pages each month.
Each plan, small or large, comes with as much ink as needed no additional cost.

What is "Free Ink"?
There is no extra cost for ink.
Ink is provided as part of your subscription - use a drop or use a cup full, ink is included at no extra cost.
Important
All ink activated by the plan and all ink sent to you works as along as the trail / subscription service is active.
- After the initial Ink Kit is mailed out, ink is sent (only) when the printer notifies the service that ink is depleted and a shipment is needed.

- Subscription / Instant Ink cartridges remain the property of HP and should be returned to HP at close (termination) of the service contract.
