HP OfficeJet Pro 8720 All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

My HP Officejet Pro 8720 was printing wirelessly with no problems. Then, I began getting notices from HP telling me that support for my Officejet Pro 8720 would end on or after 23 November 2023. I understood this to mean that HP parts and technical support would no longer be available after the end-of-support date. But then I also began getting messages stating I needed to update my drivers. I tried updating the drivers using all the methods prescribed by HP, using the controls on the printer and using all the procedures provided on the HP website.  I could never update the drivers and the printer no longer works.
Question: Did HP make my printer no longer functional when it ended support for the printer? Is there any way to get the printer working again.
