HP Deskjet 3520

Printer was printing pictures from iPad fine till it ran out of ink.  Since I only want black and white pics I replaced the black ink only.  Now it makes copies fine, but when I try to print from my iPad it goes through the motions like it’s printing but ends up spitting out a blank page.  Do I need to replace all colors of ink even though I only want black and white.  If so why does it make copies fine?  So strange!

Hi @Gahndi2

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

That's correct. For printing, the HP Deskjet 3520 e-All-in-One Printer needs all the 4 ink cartridges to have a minimum amount of ink. This is as per design. Kindly replace the empty ink cartridges.

On the printer control panel, press the Down Arrow  to select Ink Levels, and then press OK.

The Ink Levels screen displays with gauges for all four ink colors.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
