trying to print 4x6 photos on my hp envy 5540 printer

I am trying to print 4x6 photos on my hp envy 5540. It makes a lot of noise and takes a very long time, pulling the trays in and out and then it says there is no paper loaded. I'm using hp recommended paper and have made sure it was in the proper place and pushed all the way in. Please help!

I understand that you are unable to print on photo paper on your printer, the printer tries to pick up the paper and then gives a message saying no paper loaded.

Have you tried any troubleshooting steps on your own?

Have you inserted the photo paper in the printer along the short edge or long edge?

May I know the operating system installed on your computer?

Recommend you to go through page number 10 in the printer manual to make sure you have installed the paper correctly, click here for the printer manual.

Go through the paper-handling specifications of your printer to make sure the paper you are using is supported by your printer. Click here.
