I have HP OfficeJet 6960 and cannot print over WIFI from an Apple device.  My search tells me I need to run on AirPRInt but I do not see that option.

Hi @Blackpearl78,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To enable AirPrint on your HP OfficeJet 6960 printer, follow these steps.

Check WiFi Connection: Ensure that both your HP OfficeJet 6960 printer and the Apple device (iPhone, iPad, or Mac) are connected to the same WiFi network.

Enable AirPrint:

  • Via Printer's Control Panel:
    1. On the printer's control panel, press the Wireless icon or the Setup button.
    2. Navigate to Network or Wireless Settings.
    3. Look for Wi-Fi Direct or AirPrint and make sure it's turned on.
  • Via Web Interface:
    1. Ensure the printer is connected to your Wi-Fi network.
    2. Type the printer's IP address into a web browser. (You can find the IP address by printing a network configuration page from the printer's control panel.)
    3. Once you access the printer's web interface, look for AirPrint or Wireless Settings and make sure it's enabled.

Check Apple Device: On your Apple device, open the document or photo you want to print, then select Print. Ensure that your printer appears in the list of available printers. If it does not, make sure your Apple device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the printer.

If you still cannot see the AirPrint option, try restarting both your printer and Apple device, and double-check the Wi-Fi settings.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Bonjour.

Hello.

Thank you for clarifying.
What is your iPhone? and if there are no undownloaded updates?
If you have the HP Smart app installed on it and what is the status of the printer on it?
Does the HP Smart app allow you to print or not?
