HP2542
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My HP2542 printer worked fine with a Cox modem. After switching to CenturyLink, it will not connect to the new modem ( a C4000lg). My computer is connected wirelessly to the modem and via USB cable to the printer. When I try to connect the printer wirelessly, I receive an error message saying that the passwords do not match. I am inputting the same password used for the computer/ modem connection. The modem is using both 2.4 MHz and 5.0 MHz. I have tried the WPS method. I have tried resetting both units. The modem connects to multiple devices using the same password that I input into the printer setup. The printer and modem  are approximately three feet apart. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Let's restore the network settings on the Printer: Press the Wireless button and the Cancel button from the printer control panel at the same time, and then hold them for 5 seconds.

Once done, connect the Printer to the Wi-Fi.

Let me know if this helps.
