Had to reboot my Andoid tablet to factory specs which means/requires me to reload all Apps that I had prior to Reboot. When I attempted to insall HP Smart Print at/on Play Store Site was advised my Android not compatible to current version. I have a second android which has version 4.4.82 and can do any printing that I need. Presume current version that is available on Play Store is more recent and that is why I cannot Download it to my Android. My Android has 4.1.1 OS. Can someone tell me where I can Download Smart Print App 4.4.82 SAFELY. Tks RJJL

Tks for your suggestion but another HP Rep with whom I spoke on the phone gave me a much simpler solution. She told me to remove HP Plug and Print to glve me more space on my tablet and then go to Play Store and Download Print Hammer Mill App, which I did ,and my Tablet can now recommunicate with my Envy 5660. If my other tablet acts up and if I have to reboot it to factory specs will proceed in the same way . Current version of HP Smart Print is not compatible with andoid's with OS 4.1.1 and old Kernel 3.0.8 version but with Print Hammer Mill app and WiFi connection one can get those old androids to talk to HP printers. Hi @rjjl,
Thanks for engaging in HP support Forums! This is a wonderful location to converse with the community, get assistance and find tips! As I understand you are looking for the older version of HP Smart App. Don't worry I'll be really glad to help you with this.
Unfortunately you cannot download the previous version only the current version is available for download.
Could you provide me with the exact model of the printer? Please use this link to help you find this information: http://hp.care/2bygf7l
I suggest that you restart the printer or perform a hard reset on the printer by following the steps listed below:
1.Disconnect if there is any fax or USB cable connected to the unit and then turn the printer on, if it is not already on.
2.With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
3.Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
4.Wait at least 60 seconds.
5.Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
6.Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
7.Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on. The printer might go through a warm-up period.
8.Wait until the warm-up period finishes and your printer is idle and silent before you proceed.
Next thing, I would suggest here is to update the phone to ensure phone is updated to the latest version.
If you are still having the issue, I would suggest you could try to uninstall and reinstall the HP Smart App: http://hp.care/2vtKpfK
Let me know if those steps worked for you.
If they did, that’s awesome!
