Product: Office Jet 4650

Trying to print from iphone to printer.  I get a request for passcode when I select my printer to connect.  What passcode??  Should there be one provided by HP?

Hello, and Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

How is the printer connected to your network?  Wired, or wireless?

 

Is your phone connected to the same wifi network as the printer?

 

Are you using "Wireless Direct" in the printer instead of the normal wireless connection to a router?

 

When Wireless Direct is turned on, it will ask you for a passcode (if security has been selected in the printer's settings).

 

Can other devices print wirelessly to the printer without a passcode?

 

I'd suggest turning Wireless Direct off in the printer.  Look in the Network Configuation area of Settings.  See if your phone can then print normally.
