which file types are supported by eprint? I have no problem printing various file/document types locally. PDF, DOC, ODT, JPG, BMP, PNG, GIF... But not all print when sent to the printer via email/eprint. For instance ODT documents do not print. BMP does print--even selects the photo paper tray--however JPG, PNG, and GIF do not print. But if I embed those images in a DOC or PDF they print just fine. Please explain.

You are welcome.
I've not used ePrint in a while - my new 9135e printer doesn't support ePrint (and instead supports Print Anywhere.
The two methods are different enough that nothing I can add would be useful in the context of your experience.
ePrint is old (free) tech -- I've always thought it is mostly "here it is" - Use it or not.
What?
Sounds harsh -- the process is automated -- there is some program oversight for security, but there are not (to my knowledge) groups of admins hunched over computers monitoring ePrint.
Side Bar - Separate Subject
Print Anywhere is nice -- and marginally related to the old ePrint methodology --
Know that should you upgrade to a printer that supports it, the new printer must be eligible for and enabled for HP+
Reference for those reading:
Excerpted from the eprint how-to document:
Make sure the email meets ePrint requirements.
Enter only the printer email address in the To field. Multiple email addresses might cause the ePrint job to fail.
Add text in the Subject field. A blank field can cause ePrint to fail.
Attach no more than 10 files. The total size of the email, including attachments, cannot exceed 10 Mb/s.
Make sure the file attachment is compatible with HP ePrint.
Photos must be a GIF, JPG, PNG, BMP, or TIFF file and have at least a resolution of 100 pixels.
Documents must be a PDF, HTML, TXT, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, or Excel file. Digitally signed, encrypted, or password-protected documents are not supported.
By default, ePrint jobs print single-sided, and in the same color and orientation as the original. Documents print on either letter or A4 paper, and photos print on 101.6 mm x 152.4 mm (4 in x 6 in) paper.

Thank you for your help. Re: Photos must be a GIF, JPG, PNG, BMP, or TIFF file and have at least a resolution of 100 pixels.
I have not tried TIFF. BMP worked ok. GIF, JPG, PNG did not print. All were larger than 100 pixels. In all four cases the text portion of the carrying emails printed OK so I know the images were received.

Thank you for reading and writing. I guess from what you write I'm stuck. No matter. One of these days I will upgrade my printer. This exercise was mostly a matter of making sure the ePrint was at fault and not me. Thanks again Dragon-Fur. Regards, ajo
