Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

I had changed the OS from Windows XP to Windows 7,  but I could not install the Audio driver, I tried the Conexant drivers ie SP30399 and SP29483, but could not installed, the result comes failure. Kind advice me how can install the driver.

 

Your return reply will be highly appreciated.

Does your notebook have an Intel or AMD processor?

 

That makes a difference on what we try to do regarding the audio driver.

See if this works...

 

Download and run this audio driver file.  Close out of any error windows.

 

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp30001-30500/sp30399.exe

 

Go to the device manager and click in the Multimedia Audio Controller needing the driver.

 

Click on the driver tab.  Click on Update driver. 

 

Select the Browse my computer for driver software option and then at the bottom of that window, select the Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.

 

Click on Have Disk and browse to:  C:\SWSetup\sp30399\qta3091, and select the Conexant AC-Link Audio device from the list, and see if the driver installs.

 

Then restart the PC.

3. Error message (if any)
• Example: ""Low disk space"" error in Windows
4. Any changes made to your system before the issue occurred
• Examples: Upgrading your Operating System or installing a new software; or installing new hardware like a printer, modem, or router.
