HP ENVY x360 - 15m-dr0011dx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My HP ENVY x360 laptop's microphone stopped working a few months ago out of nowhere. That means no one can hear me on zoom meetings, I can't even use this laptop for any virtual work meetings, I cannot use Cortana, I can't video chat with anyone. I am very tech savvy and I have tried everything. I can hear people on a virtual meetings such as, Zoom/Google Duo/Skype/Microsoft Teams but no one can hear me. . .

I have gone into the microphone speech settings, my native language is set to US.

Online speech recognition is also on, in the speech settings.

Microphone access has been granted to Cortana, and the Chrome browser, for google audio.

When I run diagnostics for my device, under HP Support Assistant, it doesn't even recognize a problem.

It's 2021 and everything involves virtual meetings and I can't even use this laptop to attend any meetings, since no one can hear me, PLEASE HELP!!

I have the same issue - HP Spectre Folio Convertible; up to date with Windows, HP updates, and audio drivers

My internal microphone disappeared a few months ago and I have worked through the steps detailed in previous threads multiple times even though these show an older version of Windows so some as not available anymore

Audio diagnosis by HP Assistant shows everything is running as expected however this is not the case

Problem exists across all applications using an internal mic (Zoom/Teams/WhatsApp/Skype)

Any help would be appreciated
