Hi: I tried the Rollback as you suggested. Same result, no audio.
Using the HP UEFI utility I checked the BIOS level, it is F:38 or 15.38.0.0. UEFI Roll backup option is F:37 or 15.37.0.0. I believe F:36 or 15.36.0.0 probably is the solution since when I moved to F:37 Youtube audio through Google Chrome was lost.
I suggest using UEFI to move back to F:36 might be the next option. Please let me know your thoughts. Best regards

Hello: OK you got me. How does HP Warranty involve HP Firmware levels ?
Warranty expired September 07, 2022 and movement from F36 to F37 happened October 27, 2022.
Also do you have a BIOS F36 I can use with the UEFI Utility
Best regards

Hello @t75drb1
Try to reflash bios ...
(1) Power off notebook
(2) Disconnect charger
(3) Press and hold <power> button for 30 seconds
(4) Connect charger
(5) Follow --->>> BIOS Recovery Reinstall with USB
Use a Windows 10/11 computer to create <USB flash drive>
F.36 Rev.A | May 09, 2022 | 31.9 MB | Download |
Use a FAT32-formatted small <USB flash drive> (Type USB 2.0)
(6) Repeat reflash procedures:
- windows + b <USB flash drive> not connected
- windows + v <USB flash drive> not connected
- windows + b <USB flash drive> connected
- windows + v <USB flash drive> connected
Keep me updated
Kind regards

Hi: multiple problems. The download does not create a USB BIOS, the HP Utility stops part way through, this is on Windows 11. When I shift to a Lenovo laptop with Windows 10 the HP BIOS Utility creates a USB BIOS. Back on the OMEN the USB BIOS through the HP UEFI utility is not compatible. With windows + v the startup fails with CMOS 502 Checksum Invalid.
Is there a HP BIOS utility specific to Windows 11 ? Best regards

Hello: I believe we have lost our way. I do not see the technical thread between a possible failing battery and the lost audio in Youtube through Google Chrome. As stated this happened after I updated HP Firmware. HP did not provide a fall back from BIOS F37 to F36 on the OMEN I am using, I tried and it failed and F36 was not available. I waited over two months and after moving from BIOS F37 to F38 still no audio. This I started this Post. We have tried multiple items, we both has suggested. I am trying and failing to failback to BIOS F36. The F36 download fails on Windows 11 and works on Windows 10 Lenovo laptop. But the Lenovo Windows 10 Flash USB BIOS F36 is not compatible with the OMEN Windows 11.
This my question as to how to get the F36 download do create a Flash BIOS F36 USB. Can this be done ? Best regards

Hello @t75drb1
Previous error: CMOS 502 Checksum Invalid.
Your notebook does not have a real time clock CR2032 CMOS battery (3V), so I wanted to make sure your lithium battery is OK.
