updated bios and graphics drivers fail to load fully (believe I'm stuck on intel integrated graphics now)

volume wheel settings save, but continue to be ignored.

@ja___ Ok thanks for verifying that for me. I want you to try updating to the latest audio driver as well. It could be a combination of the right audio driver and BIOS version. Keep F.09 and update to IDT HD 6.10.6381.0  Restart and let me know the results, please.

Regarding the switchable graphics, downloading the latest BIOS may have set the Switchable Graphics configuration back to default which is Dynamic. Dynamic = Notebook automatically switches for you when the AC adapter is plugged in and unplugged. You should be able to boot into BIOS (F10 at power on) and change Switchable Graphics Configuration from  ‘Dynamic’ to ‘Fixed’ to correct this issue. Fixed = You can manually set which graphics chip is used regardless of the AC adapter status. If more information is needed on that please let me know. 🙂

@mas2112 Thanks for providing all of that information. F.09 is not listed for this particular model for some reason. It may not be available for the 3200 series. I will check on that and I will also notate that none of the versions available to you are working.

@cmihov Thanks for confirming that! If it’s ok with you, I’ll ask that you stick with F.09 and that same audio driver version 6.10.6381.0 and continue to monitor for any issues/glitches that may arise. Could you boot into BIOS (F10 at power on) and check under System Configuration to see if you have a line listed there for "Switchable Graphics Configuration" and the option to switch it from 'Dynamic' to 'Fixed'?

@ja___ Sorry no rush but did you get a chance to try updating to the latest audio driver version listed in the above post? Did the explanation on Switchable Graphics make sense?

@mas2112 Just wanted to let you know, I checked all of the other 3200 series models and none of them have F.09 so I will be meeting with some of my colleagues tomorrow and I will speak with them about it.

@cmihov Any new on the question from the above post about Switchable Graphics Configuration in BIOS?

Thanks everyone 🙂

Switchable graphics resolved itself mysteriously.

New audio drivers don't help.

Is it something to do with UAC, not being able to write to settings?

Either way, sick of this issue. Remapped the keys via registry (used SharpKeys to generate the registry entry, if anyone is interested).

@ja___ Ok Thanks for letting me know the results there. As for the UAC, I wouldn't think it would be affected by that but anything is possible. Did remapping the keys with SharpKeys provide a workaround for the Beats Button direction?

@everyone I'm scheduled to speak with some colleagues this week and will post news as quickly as I can.

I have the same issue with the

HP ENVY 14-3010nr SPECTRE Notebook PC

computer. I'm running bios:

2013-02-22 , Version:F.06, 4.03M

will therebe a new bios for this laptop to fix this issue?
