I am still having the same issue. uninstalling all drivers and pausing windows updates and then re-installing AMD drivers works but only for a month until windows updates messes it all up again.
I heard rumblings of the AMD Audio Coprocessor not being compatible or possibly breaking the audio. Anyone have any insight on this?

I have same issue on Envy x360 ryzen 4700, but with google classroom (Google Meet calls). Microphone and speakers stop working, instead I hear buzzing sound. Only reboot helps, but then it breaks again. I have latest drivers from HP Support Assistant.

Found another thread discussing same issue https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Audio/Audio-driver-issues-envy-15m-ee0013dx/td-p/7757580/page...

I have given up on the Envy Ryzen. Spent too much time on this, have been embarrassed having to ditch on zoom meetings constantly, and spending half my weekend on the phone with Microsoft, geek squad, zoom, etc., and more time over the past two months. Packed it up and took it back to best buy, got my $ back, and spent it on another hp laptop, different processor, more expensive. Wish me luck but I am wary of hp now and forever forward.

I returned mine also. It was a pain as I purchased it directly from HP. They gave me the run around and tried to blame it on 3 different software programs. In the end I did get my full refund for the computer and the 3 year extended warranty. Returning the laptop is the only fix for now.

I had been having that same issue with my ENVY x360, in fact, I had a problem for 4 months after I bought my computer until an update for AMD Radeon software system popped up on my computer a couple of days ago and after I installed it, it fixed my computer and now everything is working perfectly as it should've been since the day I bought it, my recommendation is to update the AMD Radeon software and keep it up to date, that worked for me.
