I accidentally deleted my audio drivers on my laptop.  When I have the HP site detect my model, it finds it, then provides ONE option for a driver that my OS doesn't even support.  I spent 2 hours with a windows tech who eventually said it comes back to HP who needs to direct me to the older version of the driver and its installer.

 

I signed up for Smartfriend, but nothing happened (no emails, no phone number provided, etc.) so I thought I signed up wrong.  Did it again now I'm charged twice.  Finally got emails a day later.  Fair enough, figured I'd just call the billing number to correct the duplicate.  It hangs up on me/fails every time I call.

 

Fair enough, I figured I'd at least call the service number to get my issue fixed.  That call fails every time I call it.

 

This reeks of a scam.  Cancelling the payment through my credit card company.  BUYERS BEWARE.   

 

Don't even bother copying and pasting your company blurb crap in this thread.  This is a warning to other consumers.  You can post blurbs but you can't answer the phone, I get it.

Should you wish to do so, you can kindly ask for help with the Audio problem here in the Community.

 

For those of us who are "Out of Warranty" people, submitting a case to HP is not an option.

HP Support does not generally provide free service for out-of-warranty devices.

Our Community is not HP Support; we do offer help free of charge.

Thanks but already disputed with my credit card company.  The HP numbers for technical support and billing do not work.  I paid for nothing.
