HP ENVY x360 Laptop - 15z-ds100 CTO

Just going to copy/paste from this older post since I have the exact problem, but haven't been able to find a solution:

"Whenever my headphones are connected and I'm watching a video or listening to some audio clip, there is a 2 seconds delay when I unpause the media file after some time. This happens only when the media file is resumed after approximately 15 seconds (till that no sound is cued). And it only happens while the audio is through headphones. Internal speakers works fine. I tried using different headphones and also updating the drivers but none worked."

This other post has been the closest thing to a solution I've found. However, unlike other users, my problem still persists even with the workaround. I noticed when editing the binary values and restarting the laptop, the values in one of the folders gets reset, which is where I'm assuming the problem is coming from.

Considering people have had this problem since 2017, I am disappointed to find that HP has yet to address this issue in 2023. Any help with a substantial solution would be very helpful.
