Microsoft Windows 11

Recently like a week ago my laptop was updated( Before that I already had windows 11) to windows 11 pro. since the update my speaker stopped working and says " No device installed".  I tried doing trouble shooting but it can only identify that my audio driver has an issue then it says " Couldn't fix". I tried downloading suggested audio driver from HP support ( SP151159) using my laptop model and version but unfortunately it didn't help.  Kindly help me fix the issue.

Hi @synrah

go to the device manager, then click on Sound, video and game controllers, uninstall the Realtek driver, it will ask if you want to remove the software, check the box, accept and then restart the device, then install the next sound driver.

you do not have the Realtek audio driver, try installing the driver again and check for unrecognized drivers in the Device Manager.

SP151159 contains the Conexant USB Audio Driver for Docks, the Realtek HD Audio Driver is also available here.

Sorry, I got the numbers mixed up.

There is a successor for the Realtek HD Audio Driver (SP151159), but your laptop is not listed:
