I have had a couple of successful Zoom calls since following the advice by Toaster1 to go to Device Manager - Sound, video and game controller - then right click on AMD High Definition Audio, and select disable. Fingers crossed this has fixed the issue, I will be sure to post on here if it hasn't

This was HPs response while trying to get my issue resolved.
"Mike, as you are currently facing the issue while using Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, and Bluejeans, these are third party software and we do not have expertize on them. As this is an out of scope issue for us, at this stage, I recommend contacting HP SmartFriend Services who will be able to assist you further. This premium service can be purchased as either a subscription or a one-time event. You can call the SmartFriend team at (844) 814-1800 to learn more about this service (in English choose option 2)."

I don't buy the fact that HP state it is a specialist issue with 3rd party software. If it occurs across multiple platforms it is surely a driver/hardware interface issue. Occifer1, I suspect the person dealing with your issue does not understand the causation.
Very poor show on the part of HP's support to suggest purchasing a premium service too.
HP, come on, at least acknowledge the issue and tell us it is being worked on...!

Download the June 24 graphics driver from your laptop's driver page, uninstall the graphics driver you currently have, reboot, then install the June 24 driver. Mine hasn't had a single issue in over a week since doing this.

Cross posting for reference, the suggested June24 Driver is the only way I was able to avoid the issue.

Hey,
A driver was released by HP to address this problem with ENVY x360 13-ay0 and ENVY x360 15-ee0 Convertible PCs. There will be a Customer Advisory as well. Please install and let me know if it helps.
